Maurice Utrillo is a major figure of the School of Paris, recognized in France, abroad, but especially in Japan, for his influence on 20th century painting and his personal representations of the streets of Montmartre. Maurice Utrillo's "white period", which marked his career during the 1910s, was particularly appreciated by Japanese collectors, theorists and amateurs.
